Ghosts

Real or not? I’ve never had anyone, that I knew, actually tell me about their experience. All very interesting – exciting, even.

I am really looking forward to the next time.

We actually have a ghost in the house. Our lounge door will spontaneously open with all the doors and windows closed. And lately I’ve been feeling a cold breeze around my neck when I sit in our conservatory, again with all the doors and windows shut, and a far from anywhere where drafts can come in.

Well, a friend told me today about her experience. All very strange. Maybe there’s some rational explanation but I kind of want it to be a ghost, if you see what I mean.

Apparently, her grandmother also has a ghost – except in her case it’s a very angry old woman and her grandmother is terrified.

Let’s hope yours doesn’t get like that!

Ours is an angry old woman too. According to my mother the woman who owned the house before didn’t want my mother and father to have the house, and died in it. Anyway, her daughter sold the house to my mother. My mother insist that the ghost is the woman who owned the house previously because she refuses to let go. And in the summer we often have every open door in the house slamming shut at the same time.

This said, I have told the ghost off before. I was alone in the house and the door began swinging backwards and forwards so I shouted “In or out Ethel, make up your mind!” and few seconds later the door closed completely.

I do like the idea that you can talk/reason with them. Cool.
Not sure whether I would be pleased or frightened if it happened to me but I’d like to find out (mind you, one should be careful what one wishes for……)
