FfI, who is short of dosh at the moment, readily said ‘yes’ to looking after the dogs. I didn’t suggest she came and stayed at my place to do so as her friend from the USA + daughter is staying with her, even though I thought it would be better for her to get away for a couple of days AND it would be better for both Rufus and Dino. (just as an aside, I slipped the name of the old dog in there instead of Dino).

Less than a half hour later she was phoning me as she had come up with a great idea!

So, she is now coming over and staying at mine for a couple of days. Those of you who wanted a free place to stay in Milan have missed out, I’m afraid.

Of course, this being FfI, there are strings attached.

On Sunday, she (along with mate from USA and mate’s daughter from USA and Friend with shop in Isola, who is British) are coming over to see the Wimbledon Men’s Final at the 442 pub. Apparently, looking after the dogs will cost me a pint of English beer and a burger. Less than kennels anyway.

On the subject of Wimbledon, let’s hope the great Scottish player, Murray, will make it through. It will make the afternoon so much more fun.

Also a colleague from work and her husband may come. So it might be quite a party (and quite a few good beers!).
