And, in spite of everything, I must remember that, however bad I feel, there are always people in a much worse situation. I should be grateful for all the good things I have and have had.

Hi ANdy-
Ya, I hear-tell balance is the ‘key’. Some times though, being out of balance is just that, out of balance……..it takes time to re-balance and re-define.
love,

Hi Gail,
This is true. However bad it is, though, one should just check once in a while and see that your ‘bad’ is someone else’s ‘OK’ or, even ‘good’. After all, I still have a place to live which is warm with hot, running water, a good job and money that allows me to buy more than food. These guys have very little and would feel that I lived in absolute luxury.
You are SO right Andy – I recall when my husband, years ago, left us, me and three kids, “holding the bag”……….I would write a gratitude list every day with things written such as :
I can see
I can walk
I can eat on my own
I can poop
I have my kids with me
We still laugh
I have my family and friends
I have a job
I have a car
and so on…………….
so ya, I hear ya and I get it!!
Love Gail
peace…..
Hey Gail,
Writing a gratitude list every day sounds quite a good idea!
